We was picked up by Super Boy in a very comfortable 4x4, which was great for the journey to camp. The drive is great passing through beautiful scenery along the way.
\nThe Elephants are amazing and seem very well cared for. It was great fun feeding them bananas and walking with them through the jungle. You go at their pace, stopping so they can eat and drink from the river along the way. It was lovely to see how much land they have within the Doi Inthanon national park.
\nBathing and playing in the waterfall was awesome. Bella the baby Elephant is so cute and cheeky, she even tucked into our fruit with us. The lunch provided was delicious!!
\nSuper Boy was great, very knowledgable and helped to make you feel at ease around such big animals. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Before our trip we did extensive research as to which elephant sanctuary to participate in. For us, we wanted to make sure it was a true sanctuary where the elephants were well looked after and not one of those \u201csanctuaries\u201d elephants are forced to perform shows and give rides to tourists. You could tell these were very well looked after elephants. The elephants at Elephant Sanctuary are not owned by one person but rather by the whole Karen Tribe in this this small community north of Chiang Mai! (Approx. 300 people). Our guide was Super Boy and he was amazing! Very knowledgeable, was always available to answer our questions and shared more information than we expected about how they acquired the elephants, how they care for the elephants and even how the sanctuary came to be a community business. We were picked up at 8:30am and only had 11 people in our group. Elephant Sanctuary only hosts 1 group per day so you move at the elephants pace. There are 5 female elephants and one baby elephant on the way. The elephants range in age from 4-45 years old. There are two grandma elephants, a momma and baby elephant and a teen elephant who is pregnant and due to give birth in 1yr. The day started with feeding the elephants bananas from the jungle, then we went for a walk through the jungle with 4 of the elephants (1 elephant didn\u2019t want to go so this elephant was not forced to participate). After about 2hrs in the jungle, we went back for a delicious pad Thai lunch prepared by some of the Karen women. We then took the elephants for a mud bath and wrapped up with heading to the waterfall to wash off both ourselves and the elephants. It was a feel good day all around! Definitely a highlight of the trip! We HIGHLY recommend Elephant Land!!!

Both trips were amazing and we learned everything we wanted to know about elephants and the lifestyle of the mahouts and their families. The elephants are treated really well and can sleep in the real jungle during the night.
\nThe guides were very enthusiastic and taught us a lot about the flora and animals of the jungle. We saw a snake, many huge spiders and a tree nest full of ants. During the jungle trip we walked through the deep jungle climbing some trees and small rocks.
\nI can highly recommend both trips. The jungle trip is amazing for people who would like to know more about the nature and the fruits and vitamins it offers.

Recomendable para todo el mundo, un lugar y unas gentes que tratan con inmenso cari\u00f1o a los elefantes, que te hacen disfrutar de cada momento, ... y con los que finalmente compartes una exquisita comida tradicional. \nI just had my best day ever in Thailand at Elephantland! The elephants are well treated... as a matter of fact, they are free to go in the jungle but they are coming back for the food they gave them. The owners are just really nice and warm. They never beat the elephants and don\\\\\\'t even have stick. They just talk to the elephants in their own old language and the elephants follow us. We could see and feel that the elephants were happy and free
\nThey also cooked us a really nice lunch after the walk in the jungle and then we mud bath the elephants and went to a nice waterfall.
\nIt\\'s take 2 hours to go from the city of Chiang Mai and they took me up at my hostel in the morning, brought me back at the end. The ride itself is really beautiful for an hour. As we get into the mountains, we saw rice fields and small villages in the jungle. It really bumpy but I felt safe.
\nDon\\'t hesitate to book you elephant tour with this company!

\nI am not someone who really takes the time to write reviews but this experienced touched my best friend and I so much that I had to.

\nI researched for nearly 2 weeks and actually picked another Sanctuary but due to a dodgy customer service representative and advice from my hotel about animal welfare and most \\\"Sanctuary\\'s\\\" actually renting elephants and not actually rescuing them, I chose here. This has been an incredible experience with Mr Boy and his team and the most wonderful, friendly, cheeky (we had one \\\"jail break\\\" so it could join us for lunch) elephants in all Chang Mai.
\n
\nThe thing is, these elephants are loved, cared for, no whips or chains. They are well fed (as are we my goodness the food was better than our hotel) and so friendly!
\n
\nI could really go on and on about how amazing this place is. There is nothing I would change except maybe a slightly bigger mattress in the hut (we stayed overnight - yes under the stars in a cabin nearby with elephants roaming the jungle - how can u beat that). We trekked for food and medicine, fed and bathed and played with the elephants and just listened to the most amazing and heartwarming stories from our caring loving host and his team.

\nIf your after Commercial, overcrowded experiences that are established: try elsewhere. If u want to look a happy elephant in the eye as u feed and bathe it: come here!!
