Two Day Trip of Trekking, Elephant Observation and Bamboo Rafting - Chiangmai Elephant Land

Trek relaxes in the cool mountain water; get close to rescued Asian elephants; stay overnight at elephant camp located in the lush mountain jungle just south of Chiang Mai; take experience bamboo rafting on the Mae Wang River

DAY 01 Take in the beautiful scenery of Northern Thailand, and visit a local market, on the drive (about 1.5 h) will take you through scenic rice-fields, hill tribe villages and remote jungle to our hidden paradise, which can only be reached using an off-road vehicle. Will take you to the start of the jungle trek (about 2 h). A delicious packed lunch is provided at a suitable point during the trek. After that, trek 30 minutes to the ethical elephant sanctuary. Meet the elephants and you can observe their natural herd behaviors such as communication and relaxation. Here you can relax in the cool mountain water at the plunge waterfall. Here we will cook then enjoy your dinner together and stay overnight at the elephant camp.

DAY 02 Wake up and warm up in the cool mountain climate to a hot breakfast. After saying your farewells to the baby elephants and their family. We will then take a walk to get a car to have a short dive. It takes 2 hours to trek to the car. We will take a short drive to a bamboo rafting camp; you can take an adventurous ride on simple bamboo rafts and enjoy the view of the Mae Wang River. And it will take about 40 mins. Drive back to your chosen hotel in Chiang Mai.
